What is ExceptionalMagic? Briefly, it's embedded debugging tool that provides some useful information about application's state at the moment of abnormal termination caused by exception. In contradistinction to well-known stupid message "Access violation in ... at ..." ExceptionalMagic informs about the exact location of error in application (source file name and line number) and also about a sequence of calls that leaded to this (so called callstack).

Of course, ExceptionalMagic can't replace a good interactive debugger - it's not a purpose, but can simplify process of error localization in situations when you can't investigate application's behavior directly, when your customers reports about notorious "Access violation..." error and so on. It's difficult or simply impossible to make meaning conclusions about real error reasons knowing only an address of error in a code. Even good knowledge of assembler, Windows executable file format and other low-level stuff may not help. In any case, it can take a lot of time and efforts to localize an error and ExceptionalMagic can be very useful in such a situation.

So, a brief list of main ExceptionalMagic features consists of:

exceptions catching and logging (both handled and unhandled)
localizing an error: finding module, procedure, source file and linenumber by address of error
    callstack generating and logging
context (registers, stack, and code) logging
    customizable error dialog box
